Artozyma and Detrop Boutique were inaugurated by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Giorgos Georgantas

The Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Giorgos Georgantas, characterized the agri-food sector as a great challenge and opportunity of the coming years, opening tonight the exhibition “twin” Artozyma-Detrop Boutique at the International Exhibition Center of Thessaloniki.

He also underlined the important presence of businesses and producers at the two exhibitions, while emphasizing that the necessary fermentation begins in Thessaloniki, in order for entrepreneurs and producers to obtain the best added value for their product.

The optimistic message that the two dynamic exhibitions send for the country’s development course was underlined by the Deputy Minister of the Interior (Macedonian Thrace), Mr. Stavros Kalafatis, emphasizing that Thessaloniki is consolidating its position on the map of major gastronomy and nutrition exhibitions.

The Regional Governor of Central Macedonia, Mr. Apostolos Tzitzikostas, characterized Detrop Boutique and Artozyma as top exhibitions for Central Macedonia, noting that these days the most delicious and innovative things are at the International Exhibition Center of Thessaloniki. He even announced that the Region participates in Detrop Boutique with 53 businesses.

The mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr. Konstantinos Zervas, expressed his joy that the Exhibition reopens with tastes, smells and beautiful images, but also with a sector where Thessaloniki and Central Macedonia have a lot to contribute.

The mayor of Pyrgos – the honored municipality of Detrop Boutique – Mr. Panagiotis Antonakopoulos characterized the exhibition meeting of these days in Thessaloniki as a small locomotive that can pull the economy. He also emphasized that the municipality of Pyrgos is located in Thessaloniki, in order to promote the values and products of the blessed and Olympic land of Ilia.

The president of the Federation of Bakers of Greece, Mr. Michalis Mousios, called Artozyma a favorite child of bakers, stressing that the exhibition is developing, improving and progressing, just like the artisan bakery sector.

The restart, after a difficult period, of exhibition activity, which is marked by the opening of Detrop Boutique and Artozyma, was pointed out by the president of TIF-Helexpo, Mr. Tasos Tzikas. Referring to the two competitions of Detrop Boutique for olive oil and olives, which are being organized this year for the first time, he made known the planning for the creation of an olive oil Olympiad, driven by them.

Artozyma and Detrop Boutique continue tomorrow, Sunday, April 3 from 10:00 to 20:00 and Monday, April 4 from 10:00 to 18:00.
