The nutritional tradition and the high quality internationally recognized food produced in the Municipality of Pyrgos Ilia formed the framework for it to be named the Honored Municipality at the 30th International Food and Beverage Exhibition, DETROP BOUTIQUE, which takes place from 2-4 April 2022 at the Exhibition & Conference Center of Thessaloniki.
The participation of the Municipality of Pyrgos Ilia as an Honored Municipality was recently sealed in a meeting of the management of TEF-Helexpo with the Mayor of Pyrgos, Mr. Panagiotis Antonakopoulos and the Deputy Mayor of Technical Services, Mr. Yiannis Argyropoulos.
The Municipality of Pyrgos (and the Prefecture of Ilia in general) is a nutritionally “blessed” place, which produces countless basic food products covering a large part of the country’s needs and not only, as every year its exports abroad in many products increase.
It has a very rich and fertile land, where high quality products such as oil, wine, raisin, olives, cheese, pasta, tomato, citrus fruits and vegetables are produced.
The philosophy that runs through all food production in the Municipality of Pyrgos is perfectly consistent with the spirit that governs DETROP BOUTIQUE and focuses on highlighting the best delicatessen products, both in terms of quality and production methods of Greek producers.
The Mediterranean diet, sustainability and sustainable land management for food production with international “parchments” are at the heart of DETROP BOUTIQUE.
The aim of the Municipality of Pyrgos with its participation in the DETROP BOUTIQUE exhibition, in addition to the promotion of local products and culinary treasures, is to highlight all the comparative advantages of the region, in relation to tourism and its cultural heritage.
At the stand of the Municipality of Pyrgos at DETROP BOUTIQUE, many processing companies will participate, which produce products of high nutritional value with P.O.P. and supply the domestic market, but also abroad.
It should be noted that DETROP BOUTIQUE takes place in parallel with the Artozyma Bakery & Pastry Exhibition.
